AWI has
various activity groups that you can join for both the fun of a social
event and the satisfaction of pursuing a hobby. Contact any of our board members
to find out more about our activity groups!
- Newcomers Group
-
Helping Newcomers orient themselves to
their new home and life in Istanbul is the main focus of the Newcomers
Group. We offer orientation tours and talks, a referral service for just
about anything you might need in Istanbul and general help in establishing a
social network in your new home.
Game Group
-
The Game Group meets regularly for
social interaction and playing various games such as mah jongg,
okey and more. AWI's game group
currently meets on Wednesdays at a member's home.
- Golfing Group

The
Golfing Group is through the
International Women of
Istanbul
(IWI). We play regularly in
Maslak. Please contact the
IWI for additional information.
- Sewing Group
-

We
have a Sewing Group that meets every Friday from 10am to noon. This group
is open to everyone (no matter the nationality) who stitches, sews, knits,
or does any other kind of hand work that can be carried from location to
location. We meet at someone else's home each week and it gives people a
wonderful opportunity to meet a new group of friends.

- Crafts Group

This
is a spin-off of the Sewing Group. This group
is open to everyone who is interested in learning a new craft and in helping
with making items to sell at the IWI Holiday Bazaar at the end of the year.
